There are several reasons for teenagers experiencing hair fall problem in teenage. In order to avoid this situation, one needs to find out the exact reasons for it.

Scalp Infections: Scalp infections have become quite common among tens. Dust, pollution, shampoos with harmful chemicals and genetic disorders are responsible for such infections. These infections lead to inflammation and scarring of scalp, which further leads to weakening of hair follicles and then hair fall.

Absence of healthy diet: Teens and kids love to gorge over junk food and other unhealthy foods as they seem more favorable to taste buds. They often get themselves packed with so much unhealthy and unhygienic snacks and street food available in the market that they are not left with much appetite for the home coked food, which happens to be far healthier and better for body. Overeating of junk food is not the only case though. There are many, especially teenage girls, who starve themselves in the name of dieting. They want to have that perfect body for which they make their best efforts to lose weight. By doing so, they rob themselves of the essential nutrients needed for a healthy hair growth.

Experiments with different hairstyles: In their quest to look different and trendy, teenagers put a lot of stress on their hair by trying all kinds of hairstyles and resorting to some harsh treatments like excessive hair drying, curling and bleaching. Tight hair styles, pulling of hair, braids and those pony tails often result in scarring of scalp, which eventually leads to hair fall.

Other health problems and medicines to treat them: Medications to treat various disorders that teens suffer from also lead to hair loss. Acne is the most common such problem. Apart from that, teens also take anti-depressant and some pills, which have a harming effect on hair.
