Ringworm of the scalp (tinea capitis)

Staph bacteria in particular is said to trigger this inflammation. This type of infection should treated as soon as its symptoms are seen for otherwise it might damage hair follicles and result in scarring of scalp.

Peidra is again a fungal infection, which results in formation of hardened nodules. It might occur as black peidra or white peidra and can also co-exist with bacterial infection. This type of infection may occur on scalp, armpits and even groin. It weakens the hair shaft.
