If the root cause or main reasons of Hair Loss in Men is identified it becomes easy to find a solution to hair loss problem. Why men are losing their hair?

Genes:

Genes determine the rate of growth of our hair. Any abnormalities inherited from the parents can lead to some congenital types of baldness or hair loss. This may remain as permanent problem.

Race:

Caucasian men are considered more prone to hair loss then blacks and Asian men. This is because of environment, water, lifestyle and some times genes factor.

Age:

Thinning of hair and loosing of hair starts as part of ageing. Density of hair per centimeter decreases as the age increases.

Hormonal change

In men hair loss can also occur due to unbalanced hormonal changes. Excessive production of androgen also causes male pattern baldness. This cause hair follicles to shrink and they become unable to produce new hair.

Stress

Sometimes stress can be a factor of hair loss or it may increase an existing hair loss problem. Psychological illness such as depression, smoking and drinking alcohol leads to many hair loss problem.

Androgenetic Alopecia also known as male pattern baldness is one of the most predominant causes of hair fall in men. It occurs when hair follicles develop sensitivity toward DHT (Dihydrotestosterone). This leads to hair loss around the centre of the skull. Testosterone and the enzyme 5-alpha give rise to DHT, which has a negative impact on the hair follicles. Hair follicles develop sensitivity towards DHT. It checks the growth of the follicles and shrinks fully grown hair continuing till the follicles disappear completely.
